Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board
Ed Mandel, the visionary behind Americare, intends to demonstrate quality health care services can be available to anyone at a fair price. His early track record for achieving objectives is proof that he and Americare will also be successful. Prior to starting Americare, Ed founded Positive Software Systems. His ability to leverage technology to address specific market needs, set the firm apart. Before he sold the company to Concerto Software in 2005, Positive was already ranked the third-fastest growing technology company in the Dallas/Ft. Worth region.
An avid entrepreneur, Ed has a knack for designing distinctive business models complemented with superior technology to deliver unparalleled service and profitability. He is using these same attributes to fulfill the Americare mission: significantly improve the lives and health of the nation through an unparalleled, one-stop health care support center. This 2004 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, fluent in English and Russian has achieved this goal and invites everyone corporations, organizations, associations, individuals - to take advantage of Americare's offerings.
Scott Grizzle
Co-Founder & Director
Scott Grizzle is a life long entrepreneur with a proven track record of knowing what people need and want. He believes people want to take control of their healthcare and not compromise quality. People want simplicity and premium service and that’s what Americare provides. Scott Co-Founded TIcket2fame in 2005 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Ticket2fame.com is an internet marketing destination that connects entertainment industry talent with movie and television studios, and other talent-seeking entities in the industry.
Jack Esselen
President and CEO
Prior to joining CallMD, Jack played a central role in developing three different early stage healthcare and technology companies into successful long term enterprises. He was the Chairman and Founder of Medifile, Inc., a leading provider of personal health information services, which was merged with CallMD in 2007 to provide the foundation for FileMD, CallMD’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform. During his career, Jack has managed various product lines, service operations and sales organizations. He is experienced in all aspects of management, including sales, marketing, finance, software development, and service.
Vlad Krupin
COO
Vlad Krupin has worked in business operations and strategies for nearly 20 years. As a full partner, he served as President and CEO at Vovan Solutions for five years. While there, Vlad developed unique software solution for some of the company’s largest clients, and successfully cultivated client relationships with preeminent companies, such as Dish Network and DirecTV. He worked closely with subcontractors to develop web-based application for fulfilling contracts. Krupin managed and helped develop the entire DishConnect solution, which held a respective 20% of the market during his tenure. These achievements has culminated in a successful JV and, later, acquisition of the company. Subsequently, Krupin served as COO and Senior Partner at American Fidelis Group, where his areas of expertise included IT management, day-to-day operation and interaction with top brokers, and development of marketing campaigns.
Krupin was awarded a BA in 1987 and an MA in 1994. After joining Americare Services, Inc., Vlad helped build the company’s proprietary back office system that propelled the CallMD brand to its current stature as a leading global telehealth company.
Tony Uglunts
Executive VP
Before joining Americare Services, Inc. as an Executive Vice President, Tony K. Uglunts was a dynamic leader in the financial and insurance products industry, with a proven track record in planning and management for businesses and individual clients. Rated by ASUREA as the Number One Agent-Broker in the Country in 2008 (out of more than 26,000 agents), Tony has spent most of his career cultivating enduring relationships with his clients.
Uglunts was awarded a BA in 1983 and an MA in 1990. In 2002 and 2003, he earned credits towards an MBA in Economics at UNT. Tony settled in Dallas in 1992 where he served as a Licensing Contracts Specialist at ITIQ. While there, he worked exclusively with Fortune 500 clients. Later he served as CEO and Senior Partner at American Fidelis Group, where his areas of expertise included what-if tax analysis, equity indexed products services, and non-correlated asset management.
Dr. Vinson Michael Di Santo
CallMD Medical Program Director
Dr. Vinson Michael Di Santo is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received his medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Phoenix General Hospital, in Arizona and post-graduate training at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
He is Board Certified in Family Practice and Clinical Nutrition, has a Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine, and he retains Acupuncture certifications in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. Dr. Di Santo is a Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine and is a certified Bau Biology Environmental Inspector.
Over the last twenty-plus years, Dr. Di Santo has practiced, promoted and taught Integrative Medicine, along with his work in Emergency, Occupational, Environmental and Urgent Care Medicine. To further expand his medical proficiency, he has served as Medical Director, Clinical Director and Chief Medical Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons where he successfully instituting infectious disease screening and monitoring systems which greatly outperformed the public sector. He was also involved cutting edge work in the areas of sick building syndrome, chemical sensitivity and immunotoxicology. His extensive experience and study has earned him professional membership in numerous organizations.
